Becoming a Business Member of Loudoun Local
Locally-owned independent businesses are the backbone of local economies. Today, they face unprecedented difficulties caused by competition from national chains, substantial increases in consumer online spending, cheaply made products and our overall struggling economy. Until we see sustainable growth in our independent business sector, we won't see substantial job creation for our local residents.

Let's just say that in 2013, we Loudoun Locals will enjoy connecting, supporting and learning of extraordinary events and places in Loudoun on Facebook, but with zero hour long tasks involved. What are Dishmobs and Cashmobs?
What are dishmobs and cashmobs? Maybe a more realistic question is, “Why should I take anything called either seriously? Most of us have heard of cashmobs at this point either on the radio, in the local paper or through social media. The first cashmob was started by a blogger in Buffalo, NY in 2011 to help support a local wine shop. Since then, cashmobs have taken place at hundreds of small businesses throughout the US. A cashmob is when local residents choose a favorite small business in their neighborhood and then ask their friends to meet them there at a selected time. When they all mob the business, each resident spends $20 or more to show their appreciation for the business and it’s owners.
